We are looking for completed, feature-length character-driven drama films that are emotionally layered and explore the complexity of the human condition. Subgenres and themes we are most interested in include dramedies/dramatic comedies, coming-of-age stories, identity-driven narratives, stories about mental health, and intimate relationship dramas. We are NOT interested in scripts that involve sci-fi, horror, broad or slapstick comedy, crime thrillers, or projects that feel bleak, cynical, or trope-driven.

Tonally, we are drawn to the work of Alexander Payne and Barry Jenkins, and recent films that are similar to the type of scripts we would like to read include “Is This Thing On,” “Sentimental Value,” “Anora,” “Train Dreams,” “Moonlight,” “Whiplash,” “Punch-Drunk Love,” and “Chef.”

Scripts submitted should have no director attached.

Our budget is not to exceed $5 million. Both WGA and non-WGA writers may submit.
