The birth thing was wild. They were trying to take the angle that birth is a womans battlefield. Which is interesting and unique. But I have to agree it became almost a cliche of the show.

Yeah, the violent birth scenes are way to show how strong women are and what they experience. I appreciate HBO trying to right the misogynistic wrongs of GOT, but there’s more to women than Screwing, breeding and childbirth. They’re still missing the mark. Getting closer…but not quite there. Hopefully season two will be better after the Queen’s son’s death as a motivator.

And, yes, I can’t believe I just typed that sentence. I’m going to take a shower now.
