Below I'm posting links to the different agreements in the WGA contracts, specifically the deal that is set to expire on May 1st, 2023, as well as details to what exactly each part means. As writers, union or not, these are things you need to know, as business is a major aspect to what you do. It isn't just about writing. It's called "Show" "Business" for a reason.
I'm going to do a breakdown of each one in simpler terms later today. Until then, be sure to ask questions and share what the WGA has in benefits for members. As screenwriters, it should be your goal to be represented by a manager, but union representation is just as important because it gives you a legitimate floor in contract talks and the bare minimum of what you should be receiving.
